Kangchul Black Belt was established in 1993 by master Scott Coullie who is now 5th Dan Black belt.
However Master Coullie started teaching in 1991 under the umbrella of his long time instructor and friend Master Mike McKenzie 7th Dan Black belt. Kangchul was established two years later. Kangchul is the Korean translation for "As Strong As Steel" which is in respect to the history of Steel in the South Yorkshire area.
Kangchul is a member of the BTCB - British Taekwondo Control Board and produced a large number of high standard students both as martial artists and as competitors.
We are one of Rotherham and Sheffield's leading TaeKwonDo schools with classes in the following areas -
Rawmarsh, Thrybergh, Treeton, Shirecliffe, Dronfield.

What is Taekwondo?
Taekwondo is a martial art that comes from South Korea, TaeKwonDo literally translates as 'the way of the hand and foot'. Taekwondo is recognised as an Olympic Sport and practiced worldwide. Taekwondo is an excellent sport which is practised for self defence, speed, fitness, agility and co-ordination as well as self confidence and most importantly fun! Taekwondo is made up of a variety of complex techniques with unrivalled kicking power.
